Who is Ace Drummer?

I was born on a Monday, the 16th day of May, in 1960. Until I was 4 we lived in a remodeled 1 room school house, on a small acreage, west of Oskaloosa, in the great state of Iowa. My dad taught me about tadpoles and streams, tractors and pigs. I am a farm boy by birth and a farm boy at heart.
At 5 my parents bought a 90 acre farm and we moved to what I consider my boy-hood home.

At this point I admit that this sounds like a Mayberry RFD story and I guess in a way it is. So I will skip many of the parts that you might find boring or unimportant.

I started my journey with music in the 7th grade, when I met Mr. Bill Van Devender. He was my Junior High band director and he, more than anyone in my life, he guided me into that amazing world out there, called music.

Also in 7th grade I met 3 of the 4 closest friends I have had in my life. Ben, Craig and Jim. Craig is no longer with us, and he is greatly missed. I would drop everything if any of them ever called. Gentlemen, thank you for your friendship and the fun times.
